The new company is spearheaded by seasoned entertainment industry veterans, and will cover a range of multimedia content production including music, film, and events. 88rising, the multinational music company with a large following in the Philippines, is one of Kroma’s key partners.
KROMA, backed by the 917Ventures Retirement Fund, aims to revolutionize Philippine entertainment in the wake of a worldwide epidemic that afflicted the creative industries. It combines passionate material with skilled creators, top talent, and cutting-edge technology to develop fresh and exciting entertainment for Filipino viewers. It provides a broad range of content across multiple platforms
KROMA will also manage music label PARADISE RISING, in collaboration with international label 88Rising, to promote Filipino artists on a global scale. UPSTREAM is KROMA’s video-on-demand platform, which has housed the most recent films, including Hollywood blockbusters, series, and events for Filipinos everywhere.
Globe’s foray into the field of entertainment seeks to strengthen the Filipino entertainment industry and provide opportunities for more talents to express themselves in the creative field. This expansion is part of its commitment to support the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, particularly UN SDG No. 9, which underscores the role of infrastructure and innovation as crucial drivers of economic growth and development.
